Privacy policy

Doplex ("we", "us") is based in Auckland, New Zealand. This policy explains what personal information we collect through doplex.co, why, and what you can do about it. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
When you use the enquiry form, we collect the details you type in:
- your name and email address
- your phone number, if you give it
- your website address, if you give it
- which service you're interested in, and any message you write
Our server also records basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, in its logs. We use a one-way scrambled form of your IP address for up to an hour to stop the form being abused.
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- to reply to your enquiry and prepare any health check or quote you asked for
- to keep a record of our conversation if you become a client
- to keep the site secure and protect the form from spam
We don't sell your information or add you to marketing lists without asking.
Who we share it with
Form messages are delivered to our inbox by Mailtrap, an email delivery service. Our website is hosted with Linode (Akamai). These providers may store information outside New Zealand. We only use providers that are required to protect it, and they may only use it to provide their service to us.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and for our business records, usually no longer than two years unless you become a client. Server logs are deleted on a rolling basis.
Keeping it safe
The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), access to our systems is limited, and the email delivery key is stored outside the public website.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct or delete it. Email connect@doplex.co and we'll respond within 20 working days.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
